Should Gandhiji be called Father of India ?

I remember my school days when my teacher asked me 4 questions.
'Who is the father of our nation?' - I said Gandhiji.
'Who said satyameva Jayathey ?' - I said Gandhiji.
'Who asked Indians not to touch alchohol?' - I said Gandhiji.
'Who asked the Indians to follow the path of Non-Violence? - I again said Gandhiji.

After going home i asked a question to myself -If my father had asked me not to do a particular job , i would have agreed straight away. The father of our nation,Gandhiji, asked us to avoid few things like alchohol. But i was worried as to whether the same is followed by the fellow countrymen. So i went to the near by market and i found huge crowd at the wine shop and felt bad.

Then an another question arose in my mind.If i don't follow something that my father had told me then isn't that a shame to my father.

As we celebrate 60 years of Independence, I am regretting that we are also celebrating 60 shamefull filled years of Gandhiji.

India is now a country where people call Gandhiji as a father of nation just for sake of saying and for nothing else.

Even after 60 years, we have so inefficient governments that cannot earn sufficient revenues without selling liquor. We have the excise department policies where officers are given promotions if they increase the liquor sales.

Even after 60 years we have police people with their inadequate crisis management training, unable to effectively manage the strikes, harthals, go in for reckless firing ,killing the fellow countrymen, just like the britishers did.Atleast britishers were good because they were not killing their fellow countrymen but they were killing somebody else.

During these 60 years,we had politicians where were murderers, politicians who are rapists,Politicians who are indukged in human trafficking. Thanks to Nathuram Godsey .If he had not killed Gandhiji then, and if at all Gandhiji was alive today , he would have committed suicide.
